Minister McNeill to Attend Leading Travel Trade Show in Berlin

Kingston, Jamaica: February 27, 2015 - Minister of Tourism and Entertainment, the Hon. Dr. Wykeham McNeill, will travel to Germany to participate in the world’s leading international travel trade show, ITB Berlin, being held from Wednesday, March 4 to Sunday, March 8, 2015.  Minister McNeill will depart for Germany on Sunday, March 1.

ITB Berlin, considered the largest travel trade show in the world, is a key business to business platform for tourism industry partners to network, negotiate and do business. More than 10,000 exhibitors from around 190 countries and regions will be presenting their innovative products and services to the over 110,000 trade visitors that are expected to attend the five-day event.

The Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) will be mounting an interactive booth at ITB Berlin, along with 17 co-exhibitors, to showcase the island’s flagship resorts and attractions to buyers from Germany and throughout Europe.   JTB’s Regional Director in charge of Europe, Mr. Gregory Shervington, will also be in attendance to market the destination.

Minister McNeill is being accompanied to ITB Berlin by Director of Tourism, Mr. Paul Pennicook.  He returns to the island on Friday, March 6, 2015.
