Mission Statement
To bring world-class meetings, conventions and events to Jamaica by adapting the principles and policies that adapt the execution of the following fuctions:

·      Functional - Marketing the Montego Bay Convention Centre as a destination for international, regional and local conventions.
 

·      Flexible - Working harmoniously with other organizations involved in marketing and promoting the city of Montego Bay and the country of Jamaica at large, and making the Montego Bay Convention Centre the preferred destination of choice.
 

·      Focused - Servicing the needs of all visiting groups and individuals and providing visitors with an experience that exceeds expectations.

 

Overview

Situated along the elegant corridor of Rose Hall, Montego Bay, the Montego Bay Convention Centre (MBCC) is the largest convention facility of its kind in the English-speaking Caribbean. It sits on approximately 23 acres of land with a total of 139,302 square feet of indoor event spaces (meeting, exhibition and ballroom) and outdoor event spaces including the 17,000-square-foot Ocean View Terrace and the 25,000 square-foot courtyard.

The Government of Jamaica, in conjunction with the Chinese Development Bank, constructed the MBCC in 2011.  In 2016, Cabinet approved the transfer of ownership of the MBCC from the Urban Development Corporation (UDC) to the Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Finance and Public Service.

The MBCC is the multiple recipient of the World Travel Award for being the Caribbean’s Leading Meetings and Conference Centre. It is managed by SMG, a recognized global industry leader in venue management, marketing, and development.
