Bartlett Declares New Era Built on Trust, Inclusion and Local Prosperity KINGSTON, Jamaica; Thursday, June 25, 2026: Minister of Tourism, Hon. Edmund Bartlett, has unveiled a new growth agenda dubbed: Tourism 3.0, describing it as Jamaica’s new development architecture designed to transform tourism from a successful industry into a more inclusive and resilient national economic engine rooted in trust, confidence and shared prosperity. Making his 2026 Sectoral Debate Presentation in Gordon House earlier this week, under the theme “Trust and Confidence,” Minister Bartlett positioned Tourism 3.0 as the framework that will guide the next phase of Jamaica’s tourism evolution, one where growth is measured not only by visitor arrivals but by stronger communities, higher local retention, greater resilience and broader economic participation. “Tourism 3.0 is not a slogan. It is a new development architecture for Jamaica,” Bartlett declared.

Ethiopian Airlines to be official African Carrier for GOJ UNWTO Global Conference

Spring Gardens Primary Wins “Fi Wi Falmouth” Tourism Quiz Title

Spring Gardens Primary & Infant was victorious in the inaugural Tourism Product Development Company (TPDCo) “Fi Wi Falmouth” Tourism Quiz competition, beating Immanuel Success Preparatory & Kindergarten School in an exciting face off held recently at the Trelawny Parish Library. The 3 rounds match saw questions from thirteen subject areas including the history of Trelawny, Spanish, Tourism Awareness, Tourism Organization, Civics, Mathematics. The score at the end of the match was 35-28 in favour of Spring Gardens.

Jamaica Seeks To Secure 50,000 German Tourists By 2020

KINGSTON, Jamaica; March 13, 2017: With Jamaica welcoming just over 20,000 German tourists last year, Tourism Minister Hon. Edmund Bartlett has mandated the Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) and key Tourism officials to double that number to 50,000 German tourist arrivals into the island by 2020.
